In Greene County district court Carly Jene Hubby, 43, of Ogden was sentenced July 6 to 10 days in jail after she changed her plea to guilty to a charge of driving while license barred. She will receive credit for time served. If she obtains a temporary restricted license by Aug. 6 the court will reconsider the sentence, suspend the sentence and place her on informal probation to the county sheriff. Hubby was fined $855 with a $128.25 surcharge. She must also pay an amount not to exceed $600 restitution for her court appointed attorney’s fees and $100 court costs. Jaime Omar Gonzalez Alfaro, 26, of Storm Lake was sentenced July 8 to 180 days in jail, with credit for time served and all but two days suspended after he changed his plea to guilty to a charge of operating while intoxicated- first offense. He was placed on probation to Boone/Greene County Probation for one year. He may complete the Des Moines Area Community College 48-hour alcohol education program in lieu of the jail time. He must undergo a substance abuse evaluation and complete any recommended treatment at his own expense. Gonzales Alfaro was fined $1,250 with a $187.50 surcharge; one-half will be waived if he obtains a temporary restricted license. He must pay an amount not to exceed $600 for his court appointed attorney’s fees and $100 court costs. (Sentencing: McCarville)
Randolph Lee Glass, 56, of Rippey was sentenced to 30 days in jail, with all but two days suspended, after he pleaded guilty to a charge of domestic abuse assault- simple, amended from domestic abuse assault causing injury. He was placed on probation to Boone/Greene County Probation for one year. He must undergo a substance abuse evaluation and complete any recommended treatment at his own expense, and he must complete the Iowa Domestic Abuse program. Glass was fined $105 with a $15.75 surcharge and a $90 domestic abuse assault surcharge. Court costs were $100. (Sentencing: McCarville)
Chanze Jay Bushman, 21, of Scranton was sentenced to 30 days in jail, with all but two days suspended, after he pleaded guilty to a charge of assault- simple, amended from domestic abuse assault causing injury or mental illness. He was placed on probation to Boone/Greene County Probation for one year. He must complete the Iowa Domestic Abuse program. Bushman was fined $105 with a $15.75 surcharge. Michelle Ann Cook, 22, of Jefferson was sentenced to 30 days in jail, with all but two days suspended, after she pleaded guilty to a charge of assault- simple, amended from assault causing bodily injury or mental illness. She was placed on probation to Boone/Greene County Probation for one year. Cook was fined $105 with a $15.75 surcharge. She must also pay an amount not to exceed $300 restitution for her court appointed attorney’s fees and $131.50 court costs. (Sentencing: McCarville)

Richards, 60, of Jefferson, OWI; Melissa Sue Dopheide, 40, of Breda, domestic abuse assault causing injury or mental illness; Brandy Nicole Ranker, 38, of Scranton, domestic abuse assault causing injury or mental illness; Tory Richard Beger, 28, of Grand Junction, OWI; Bryce Aaron Smith, 41, of Shenandoah, OWI- second offense; Dale Edward Ganoe, 44, of Jefferson, domestic abuse assault- third or subsequent offense; and Tracy William McDonald, 46, of Jefferson, domestic abuse assault impeding air/blood flow. Trial dates were set for Aug. 23 for Ranker, Beger and Ganoe, and for Sept. 27 for all other defendants.
Cases were initiated against Rodney Charles Sheffield, 35, of Scranton, unauthorized use of credit card less than $1,500; and Coltyn Reece Steed, 22, of Doddridge Miller, AR, OWI.
